Dennis Regan
Born in Sheboygan Wisconsin, and raised in and around that area, ranging from Sheboygan to Green Bay and small towns between, Dennis retired from the Air Force in Abilene in 1986 after serving 20 years. His Air Force career took him to many exotic places around the world allowing a brief but interesting exposure to many different cultures and lifestyles.
Dennis joined Toastmasters International in June of 2010 and was elected to his first club officer position, (Sgt. at Arms) in July. Since that time he has held several offices including Sgt. at Arms, Vice President Membership, Vice President Education, (both of those twice), and club President during which his club reached President’s Distinguished. He has served the District as Area Director, Pathways Ambassador, Division Director as well as chairing a variety of District committees.
Within the Toastmasters organization Dennis has spoken at several district conferences, conducted numerous Toastmaster Leadership Institute Training sessions (powerpoint included), Traveled to a number of clubs to present and introduce the new “Pathways” Education program that Toastmasters is now using.
Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies, he is also a retired minister who is comfortable addressing groups from large to small.
Favorite topics include Patriotism, hobbies such as chain mail jewelry making, a little known style of wood carving known as ‘notchwork’ or ‘Crown of Thorns’, the importance of Libraries in the digital age, and others.
